17th Century barn conversion, Ragley Hall Estate, Warwickshire

Brief

Wilden Developments were contracted to carry out structural stablisation of a 17th Century field barn on the Ragley Hall Estate in Warwickshire. The contract consisted of underpinning all external walls and rebuilding as necessary, then repairing and replacing all decayed sections of the oak frame using locally sourced timber from the Estate.

The first phase was completed by installing all new structural concrete floors, and left in a sound condition ready for phase two of the contract which was the fitting out and completion of the barn for use by a commercial tennant.

This work was carried out under the auspices of a local Archiological Department.
